On the day Gerald's poem debuted in the ezine NewMyths.com, He got a call from Writers of the Future informing him that his story, "Poly Islands", placed 2nd in the Writers of the Future Contest (1st quarter). This story he originally wrote at Odyssey, but honed it with critiques from NTSFW members.
