2009 in review
It’s been a great year for the NTSFW members! Here’s a little update on what I can remember from our membership, I’ll amend and add as I get more info:
Gerald–got two poems published, one in Abandoned Towers Magazine and one in a Dragon anthology. He gave readings at the World Fantasy Convention in San Jose and at the Writers’ League of Texas Summer Writing Retreat. He got an honorable mention in the San Gabrielle Writers’ League Contest.
Alley–attended the World Fantasy Convention in San Jose, published a short story in Bewildering Stories and one on the website of Abandoned Towers, has a 3 column gig at Examiner.com (Fort Worth Writing Examiner, Fort Worth Hockey Examiner, Dallas Speculative Fiction Examiner), attended both of Bob Mayer’s writers’ workshops, attended David Farland’s writer workshop, pitched to an agent at the DFW Writers’ Conference and got a request for a full manuscript, met the editor of Abyss & Apex and she wants a story, met Brandon Sanderson at his Dallas booksigning, attended ConDFW, Conestoga, & FenCon.
Stacy–met P C Cast and Kristen Cast at a book signing in Plano, Beneath Ceaseless Skies is considering her book, Soul’s Wish.
Tom–attended Clarion this year.
Troy–ghostwrote a book.
Tricia–published in Abandoned Towers Magazine, attended the World Fantasy Convention in San Jose.
Shawn–published (I’ve forgotten where, Shawn, let me know), attended ConDFW, FenCon.
Crystalwizard-continues to publish Abandoned Towers Magazine and books at Cyberwizard Productions.
