Feb meeting & ConDFW
Our Feb meeting will be held in the bar of the Crowne Plaza Suites where ConDFW is holding their yearly convention. We will meet at our usual time, 6pm and will have a sign on the table. Tom published!
NTSFW member Tom sold the hard SF tale, INTERPLANETARY TRIATHLON, to a major sports magazine , INSIDE TRIATHLON, and it should appear in the July/August “Racing” issue. This is the first time ever that a major endurance publication has tried publishing a fictional short story, and they are doing the whole 5700 words in one issue–three times longer than most of their articles. If this meets with audience approval, they are considering a series idea I had about different genre stories based in endurance racing: horror, mystery, romance, alternative history, etc. Maybe print one every other issue.
