<p><font face="Arial">This short short story contest is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and FREE to enter.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>Theme </strong>- stories must have a Speculative Fiction element.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>Eligibility</strong> &#8211; all stories must be original and unpublished (in any media) and not under consideration by an editor, nor concurrently entered into another contest.  An eligible short story may not be withdrawn after the submission deadline.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial">Winner is to read story aloud at the bookstore.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial">Each author may submit 1 short story.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>Formatting</strong> &#8211; please put contact information (name, address, email, phone) on the first page as a cover page, and your title/page# only on all subsequent pages.  </font></p>
<p><font face="Arial">Required formatting is standard print format: 1&#8243; margins, double space, 12 point Courier, Courier New, or New Times Roman font, indent paragraphs, etc.</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>FILE TYPE:</strong> TXT, RTF, or Word DOC (<em>must be readable in Word 2000</em>) (<strong>as an attachment, please do not put the story in the body of the email as transferring it to Word by copy/paste often loses formatting</strong>)</font></p>
<p><font face="Arial"><strong>Awards</strong>: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mentions will be awarded Saturday Sept 13th at 6pm at the Hurst Barnes &amp; Noble by Georgette Radford.</font></p>
