July Meeting was fun!
Last night we met at the La Quinta Inn in Dallas because many of our group attended David Farland’s Professional Novel Writers’ Workshop this past week. Thanks everyone for coming out! Great crits and I learned a lot.

We are meeting at the hotel because David Farland is conducting his Professional Novel Writers’ Workshop that week there and he and the rest of the class is invited to attend our workshop. We’ll show them how a great workshop works with great writers! Visitors are welcome. There is no charge for our group.

Feb meeting & ConDFW
Our Feb meeting will be held in the bar of the Crowne Plaza Suites where ConDFW is holding their yearly convention. We will meet at our usual time, 6pm and will have a sign on the table. Our March meeting will return to the Hurst Barnes & Noble Bookstore. For more info on the convention, see www.condfw.org

We ask visitors to attend one meeting before joinging the group to get an idea of how we work and if this is the right group for them.

Last nite’s meeting
Last night was our monthly North Texas Speculative Fiction Workshop in Ft. Worth. (www.ntsfw.com) We had a great turnout! 15 people including one new member who joined last nite. (Welcome Kent!). Last month, we had 4 new members. We discussed hosting award-winning writer Dave Farland/Wolverton in the DFW area for a one or two day workshop. News to come!
