2009 in review

It’s been a great year for the NTSFW members! Here’s a little update on what I can remember from our membership, I’ll amend and add as I get more info:

Gerald–got two poems published, one in Abandoned Towers Magazine and one in a Dragon anthology. He gave readings at the World Fantasy Convention in San Jose and at the Writers’ League of Texas Summer Writing Retreat. He got an honorable mention in the San Gabrielle Writers’ League Contest.

Dave Farland’s Workshop a big success!

What a great workshop we had this past weekend with Dave Farland as our instructor!! Dave taught a 2 day writers workshop called “WRITE THAT NOVEL!” in Dallas at the Doubletree Hotel at LBJ & Midway. After Saturday’s workshop, he joined us at our regular monthly NTSFW meeting at the Hurst Barnes & Noble Bookstore and did a booksigning for his new book, CHAOSBOUND. Then Sunday, we were back at the hotel with another day-long class with much information and great antedotes. I know that I had a fantastic time and learned tons of good stuff for my writing…
