What a great workshop we had this past weekend with Dave Farland as our instructor!! Dave taught a 2 day writers workshop called “WRITE THAT NOVEL!” in Dallas at the Doubletree Hotel at LBJ & Midway. After Saturday’s workshop, he joined us at our regular monthly NTSFW meeting at the Hurst Barnes & Noble Bookstore and did a booksigning for his new book, CHAOSBOUND. Then Sunday, we were back at the hotel with another day-long class with much information and great antedotes. I know that I had a fantastic time and learned tons of good stuff for my writing career, both technically and about marketing and today’s markets. Thanks so much Dave!!

Alpine Writers' Retreat 2009
The class was terrific, says Gerald. The first session alone was worth the trip down there. One of Carol’s big points was that voice itself can serve as the hook for your short story or novel.
That’s Gerald on the far right in the back!
